Quaker Heritage Reproduction Quilt

This quilt top is a heritage quilt reproduction. Most fabrics are from the Quaker quilts
collection designed by Judie Rothermel, for Marcus Fabrics,
inspired by the Heritage Center of Lancaster County.
I used kona cotton solids for the greens, blue, and gold log cabin blocks.
The small panel blocks are novelty print fabrics from the quaker quilt collection. They are
set on point and bordered by reproduction fabric in red to create a pieced block . All log cabin, and star blocks
are machine pieced. The large center design is a fabric print which has a pieced black border.
This beautiful quilt is machine quilted with a wavy and loopy flower motif. This quilt was laundered after
quilting to give it a soft vintage feel and ensure the color was set and no bleeding would occur. Warm and Natural 100% batting was used, and a soft off white cotton backing. A black handsewn binding completes the outer edge of the quilt.
